Admission Information
The Admission Information page is intended to outline application procedures for prospective parents applying for places at Whitegate CE Primary School.
We are a church school with Jesus at the centre of all that we do. The values of love, joy and peace are at the heart of our learning and teaching. We believe that if we trust in God, and not solely on our own understanding, the children at Whitegate C of E Primary School will have the best possible start to their lives.
The number of places available for admission to the Reception class will be a maximum of 24. The Governing Board operates a system of equal preferences under which they consider all preferences equally and the Local Authority allocates places according to its policy. In the event that there are more applicants than places, the Governing Board will allocate places using the criteria set out in the Admissions Policy.

Applications for places in our Foundation Stage in September 2025 must be submitted to the Admissions team at Cheshire West & Chester by 15th January 2026.

Closing date for applications - 15th January 2026
Notification of offers - 16th April 2026
Parents must accept or decline school place offer - May 2026
Closing date for on time appeals - 17th May 2026
Appeals received by this date will be heard by 19th July 2026
In line with the statutory duty of admissions authorities to consult on amendments to admissions arrangements, please note in our attached Admissions Arrangements and Policy for 2027-2028, which refers to admissions from September 2027 onwards, we have reduced our PAN from 24 to 20.
As a statutory consultee, we invite you to comment on the proposals in the consultation period which will run for a 6-week period from 26th November 2025.
Comments will be considered by the Governing Board of Whitegate Church of England Primary School after the consultation period ends on 7th January 2026 prior to determination and publication.
